A magnificent slow burn tale following our protagonists Aoife, an extremely talented linguist and Ulmacea, a lovely failffini who is anxious as all hell that Aoife doesnt want to be florted. Aoife is similarly convinced that Ulmacea would never want her as a floret. Adorable will-they-won't-they florting shenanigans ensue. Oh also, Aoife's Class-G regimen results in some rather milky attributes that lead to lots and lots of brain-meltingly fun kinky milking scenes :3

Oh also also this work has a FUCKING AUDIOBOOK and its so so so so good yall go listen to and read this one its so goods

(also also also theres lots of linguist segments where we follow Aoife's POV as she figures out HOW TO SPEAK AFFINI aaaaaa its so fucking good yall im not even a linguistics enjoyer and i was vibing every time Aoife sat down to spend three paragraphs figuring out what a two sentance exchange meant)

Stars, how to explain this one… Okay, so since the terrans are losing the war to the Compact, they throw together a moonshot program to brainstorm any way to help win the war(this of course fails, they never stood a fucking chance etc, etc) Okay so our protagonist, who's definitely a normal cis guy and definitely not plural "he" just calls "him"self "we" sometimes which could mean nothing.

Anyways, its an amazing love story mixed in with tragic trauma that had me in tears so many times and there's so, so, so, so, so much good stuff it might be my favorite hdg story of all time- at the very least its in the running for that title. Also it depicts what happens when the Affini learn about the Voyager probes and its fucking adorable what they do with them.

HDG 1999

This Alternate Universe is a series of 5 completed stories, with a 6th in the works eventually. None are stupidly long but all together it's one big story.

As the name of the AU suggests, the Affini show up to domesticate earth in 1999 and its fucking amazing. Its got some great queer elders as major characters and our two primary protagonists are so fucking adorably in love. The whole series is bursting with personality and honestly I'd recommend it even if the stories didn't have plampts in them it's just that good of a story!

Our protagonists have to go on the run from government agents, escape top secret facilities, get experiments run on them, etc. Also the affini leave crop circles for some reason lmao. As far as things to be aware of going in, it very much takes its time getting to the florting, but I mean it when I say its an amazing story even before it properly gets into what the plampts are up to :3 I could gush about this story forever methinks so time to move on lol.

Through the Looking Glass

Warning: This story contains ALOT of second hand embarrassment, which is normally a huge no-go for me, and if its the case for anyone reading this, I urge u to at least give this one a shot if it sounds fun, as I don't know why, but I normally have to skip past embarrassing scenes but this story is like 40% embarrassment kink by volume and I love it anyways somehow :P

The Tillandsia Trilogy

Alright this ones 3 stories for the price of one list-slot. All three are great, and to save time ur just gonna have to trust me. This series is a large part of what got me properly obsessed with HDG. The main overlap between the stories is the setting and characters. But the stories are def readable in isolation if ur fine with some slight confusion about who certain people are. At the very least the last story's ending scene would be very confusing without all the context :P

If u enjoy alot of leftist infighting in ur smut, No Gods, No Masters and Freedom's Ember are great for that, The Floret In the Mirror is also amazing, but has less leftist infighting ;P (and more smutty content per capita if i recall correctly)

Local jump drive technician tries to blow up an affini via self-destructing a jump drive. This does not work. It does however strand the jump-drive technician and a now very injured affini alone in space together. Will they figure out a way to work together and survive??? There's no way to know!!! They could die at any moment!!!1! Don't look at the word count.

In all seriousness the whole thing is lovely and the eventual obligatory "begging to be a floret" scene has one of the most epic romantic gestures ever imho, i was literally jawdropped as it was happening like "yeah, no the affini would absolutely [REDACTED] if it meant making sure [REDACTED]"

Hypogeal

I cried so hard. so so hard. so many times. fuck. Oh also there's smut in here, and masochism. It's very hot, I highly recommend it!

This story is a cotyledon story, which for anyone unfamiliar, means that it follows the Affini as they're figuring out how humans work, on a biological level, which means shit's fucked. I highly recommend it, but... yueah lol

Also the main Affini is so very normal and the other affini are scared of her for no reason probably (<- lying)

Our protagonist is an attorney, she spends her days fighting to make the Terran Accord just a little bit more ethical. She spends her nights doting on her adorable puppygirl of a wife.

When the affini show up, our protagonist immediately picks up the roll of helping the affini in their take-over and subsequent prison abolishment. She's really good at it too, in fact she's good at lots of stuff and feels more like an affini than a human sometimes- oh no.

Oh yes, this is an Affini-ification story :3 Now hold on, I was skeptical at first too, that sounds like an idea which would be axiom breaking in lots of ways and would have to be handled INCREDIBLY delicately to manage to do well. Worry not, Kanagen manages to nuances of this concept marvelously.

Galactogenesis

Surely they wont end up stranded on the planet and then end up having to eat lots of the strange alien plants. Surely the strange alien plants wont forcibly feminize and forcibly bovine-ize everyone present until they're all a domesticated herd of lactating florts, that's crazy that could never happen why would you ever think such a thing? ;3

My first voyage into writing in this universe I'm still very proud of this ^^ I did lots of fun artwork and CSS crimes to make it look pretty. The story isn't the most original but I had lots of fun with it ^^

Our main character is a transfem egg who escaped a toxic relationship on Terra in favor of an almost worse indentured-servitude on Ganymede station, then the Affini arrived. Whisked off in the initial chaos of the “attack”, Holly ends up conscripted into a feralist crew on the run from the Affini. That is, until she finds a strange piece of Affini tech which allows her to get a new perspective, and potentially a path to a happier life, if only she can be brave enough to get there.

This story includes exploration of dysphoria, gender, and sexuality, and also contains explicit sexual content at the very end. We follow Holly as she learns about herself, and in turn, learns to heal from her past emotional abuse.

Several hundred years after the terran domestication campaign, an unlucky Affini gets sent back in time to 21st century earth.

Stranded in time and severely wounded, Stellate Monad has to figure out a way to save herself, and domesticate the much earlier version of humanity she has found herself surrounded by. Surely this task will be easy and have no complications whatsoever.
